ROCKWALL COMMUNITY PLAYHOUSE is a nonprofit organization, operated by and for the members of the Rockwall community and is dedicated to the enrichment of our community through the experience of theater. Located in the heart of Rockwall, RCP produces seven productions (mainstage plays, children’s theater and teen theater) each season, as well as providing theater support, assistance, and educational programs to local schools and service clubs. Rockwall Community Band
The 60+ members of the Rockwall Community Band are dedicated professional and amateur musicians that have come together to provide a fun, social environment for musicians to play their art. The all volunteer organization is an ensemble with diverse ages, talents and professions of brass, woodwinds, and percussion. Our concerts provide the Rockwall community with a quality performance of marches, orchestral presentations as well as traditional band pieces.

The mission of the Rockwall Summer Musicals (RSM) is to entertain, educate and enric

HUBBARD CHAMBER MUSIC SERIES
The Hubbard Chamber Music Series was founded for the Lake Ray Hubbard area in 1986 by pianist, Michele McDonald. It was created to provide a cultural arts center of attraction for performances of classical chamber music by professional musicians and to encourage young artists in the appreciation and study of music.
For over twenty two years the principal performing group, The Hubbard Chamber Ensemble, consisting of musicians from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Artisitic Director, pianist, Michele McDonald, presented diverse concerts of classical chamber music.
As of 2008, Hubbard Chamber Music Series becomes the Hubbard Chamber Music Competition for Young Artists. Soloists and Chamber Musicians of all ages may compete for amateur, junior level critiques and awards while experienced competitors may receive sizeable cash prizes and performances. ROCKWALL CHILDRENS CHORUS
The Rockwall Children’s Chorus is an audition-only, county-wide choir consisting of boys and girls grades 2nd through 9th. The group was established in 1999 as a special learning environment, designed to provide rich and rewarding musical experiences to each child. Members are given the opportunity and challenge of developing their gifts in the framework of ensemble music. Artistic growth is reinforced by lasting friendships and the pure joy of singing. RCC consists of two choirs, one for grades 2nd – 4th, and the second for grades 5th – 9th.
Practices are held on Mondays, 4:30 – 5:20 for the younger choir, and 5:30 – 6:20 for the older choir. The annual tuition of $300 can be paid in monthly installments, and scholarships are available to qualifying students.

THE LAKESIDE CIVIC CHORUS
The Lakeside Civic Chorus, under the direction of David Bush, Artistic Director/Conductor and Ken Frerichs, Accompanist, was founded in 1984 and is an auditioned community chorus. The Chorus produces a yearly subscription season with its primary objective of presenting to audiences in the Rockwall and Lake Ray Hubbard area, high quality choral concerts of works from diverse periods, as well as to foster the musicianship of its members. Additionally, the organization offers music scholarships annually to deserving area graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree in music at an accredited and approved college or university. Proceeds from concerts support scholarships for Rockwall and area high school seniors. These scholarships are presented each spring. THE ROCKWALL ART LEAGUE
The Rockwall Art League is a forum for visual artists to share ideas and support each other, and to provide scholarships for talented art students to continue their development after graduating from high school.
The Rockwall Art League relies on the support of members as well as corporate and private donors … and is a non-profit organization. Membership is open to all artists.
The Rockwall Art League is a beneficiary of the Open Door Grant, which helps to support many ongoing activities.
